About Velo Palm Springs

Velo Palm Springs started the way most things worth doing start — not with a business plan, but with a bike ride.

The idea was simple: Palm Springs and the greater Coachella Valley are genuinely spectacular places to ride, and there wasn’t a single resource that pulled it all together. Routes, local shops, events, the kind of tips you only pick up after riding the same road a dozen times. So we built one.

We’re cyclists first. The site grew out of real rides — out to Joshua Tree, up through Indian Canyons, along the CV Link before it was finished, and plenty of early mornings on roads that rewarded the effort. We didn’t set out to be journalists or influencers. We just wanted to document what we found and share it with people who ride the same roads.

Over the years, the site has evolved — more routes, more tech coverage, more of the practical stuff that makes desert riding better. Some of it came from personal experience. Some of it came from the wider cycling community and the wealth of knowledge that lives inside every local bike shop.
